Minimum/General Experience:
3 – 5 years of Oracle experience with strong PL/SQL skills, TOAD, relational database design, triggers and procedures in Oracle is required. Ideally, would have the ability to perform basic DBA activities such as user administration, schema creation, exports, imports and performance tuning. The position will require the developer to have a thorough understanding of the development lifecycle, including software design and development of n-tier web applications.
Functional Responsibility:
- Create, modify, debug, test, and document PL/SQL, tables, packages, procedures, functions, and database triggers.
- Prior experience with a data modeling tool such as ERWin is desirable but not required.
- May work on legacy application data migration using Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) & PL/SQL scripts
- Checking DB source code in/out of source control packages (VSS, PVCS)
- DB build / deployment support for development, test, and production environments
- Support Oracle DB administration responsibilities for development environment
- Set up, export and import database schemas.
- Manage the technical aspects of the database to ensure integrity/constraints are maintained.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline. An advanced degree in a related discipline may be substituted for three years of experience.
