Minimum/General Experience:
Candidate should have at least three to five years of experience with application maintenance/enhancement including experience with SQL Server or other relational databases, HTML, JavaScript, ASP, VB 6.0 and C# .Net programming. The candidate should be able to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision and demonstrate Strong analytical and communication skills. Candidate should be self starter and be motivated to work on full time maintenance engagements.
Functional Responsibility:
- Provides support for software maintenance and enhancements for a sizeable web enabled grants management system written in ASP, VB 6.0, COM+ and .NET 1.1
- Develop optimal code using existing service tier components and prescribed coding conventions.
- Comply with CMMI level 3 and project level processes to improve efficiency and consistency of all deliverables.
- Support verification and validation activity by supporting Quality Assurance team and actively participating as and when required.
- Prepare component level and architectural documentation as per the project process requirements.
Education:
- 3-5 years of experience using HTML, XML, JavaScript, VB 6.0,ASP, COM+
- 2-3 years of experience using ASP.net, SQL Server 2000/2005, SOAP, Web Services
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility guidelines is required
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, math, information systems, engineering or related discipline is required
