Minimum/General Experience:
Candidate will have at least 4-6 years experience working with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) related tasks. The position requires the candidate to provide EVM support, including financial planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting on projects of various size, complexity and level of risk. The candidate demonstrates experience with managing IT project budgets and developing baseline project costs. This position requires knowledge of IT processes and EVMS. Should be very detailed oriented, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem identification and resolution with the ability to work successfully with senior management. Position requires the candidate to possess the ability to handle unusual and seldom-occurring job events or customer data calls with minimal assistance.
Education:
- A BA or BS degree in Accounting, Business Administration, information systems, physics, math or related discipline is required
- The candidate must have a basic understanding of multiple contract types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Level of Effort (FPLOE), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and hybrid contracts
- Advance computer skills include MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project
- Experience with Microsoft Access or a similar SQL based reporting tool essential; Must possess excellent analytical capabilities
- An advanced degree in Accounting, Business Administration, information systems, physics, math or related discipline may be substituted for two years of experience
- Experience with DoD guidelines for EVMS implementations, including ANSI/EIA 748 EVM standards and related FAR and DFAR clauses is a plus.
