Minimum/General Experience:
Candidate will have at least 4-6 years experience working with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) related tasks. The position requires the candidate to provide EVM support, including financial planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting on projects of various size, complexity and level of risk. The candidate demonstrates experience with managing IT project budgets and developing baseline project costs. This position requires knowledge of IT processes and EVMS. Should be very detailed oriented, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem identification and resolution with the ability to work successfully with senior management. Position requires the candidate to possess the ability to handle unusual and seldom-occurring job events or customer data calls with minimal assistance.

Functional Responsibility:

• Monitor system performance using performance monitoring tools like perfmon.
  
• Setting up an alerting framework using either COTS products or custom scripts.
  
• Review and analyze both legacy code base written in classic Microsoft technologies like VB, ASP, COM+ as well as more recent code written using ASP.NET and WEB 2.0 technologies to identify bottlenecks and recommend/implement appropriate solutions.  
  
• Analyze and decipher the results of monitoring tools and be able to provide solutions to resolve any problems which might be encountered.
  
• Work with the IIS 6.0 resource kit to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
  

Education:

• Extensive experience in monitoring/analyzing and improving performance/scalability on a live web enabled production system written using Microsoft technologies and hosted using IIS 5.0/6.0/7.0.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis, information systems management, software engineering, mathematics or related discipline. An advanced degree/specialized certification in a related field may be substituted for three years of experience.
