REI provides a hot backup facility for the State of Maryland’s Women Infants and Children (WIC) program. Located in Calverton, MD, REI’s datacenter is equipped with multiple high-speed T-1 links for Internet access. The data center is climate controlled (Dataguard 4.0 TechCool Series), powered with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) auxiliary power, is equipped with security cameras and is monitored and maintained with 24/7 support.
