  EMMIE (Emergency Management Mission Integrated Environment)
REI is currently supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to achieve their vision of building a single grants processing system that will serve all Grants within the agency and provide each grants business community with a single customized business area.

The EMMIE system is engineered by REI Systems, Inc. in coordination with General Dynamics IT (GDIT) and REI is building more than 80% of the entire system functionality. EMMIE is designed to be an end-to-end enterprise wide mission support system for users across different communities (grantees, subgrantees, office of legislative affairs, program office, grants office, finance office, and environmental office) that support the processing of applications across different workflow steps, and lifecycle changes in a task based approach. The system also has an administrative function that allows users to setup grant programs, and create funding opportunity specific review steps for the processing of an application. The system is flexible to support multiple grant programs across different communities and across agencies. It has unique features for users to setup preferences for their tasks, and quick filters to search for tasks within a specific grant lifecycle step, and extensive search capability to search across grant lifecycle steps.

EMMIE will capitalize on the capabilities of the NEMIS Mission Support Platform, which provides access to integrated support services including Integrated Security and Access Control (ISAAC) and Generic Financial System (GFS) for security and financial integration.
