Federal Computer Week Honors REI Systems’ Shyam Salona with Federal 100 Award |
Award Recognizes Salona’s Vision, Leadership, and Pioneering Work in Web and Dashboard Technologies |

Herndon, VA – March 9, 2010. REI Systems (REI), a leading software engineering and systems integration company, announced today that Shyam Salona, the firm’s co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, has been named to Federal Computer Week's (FCW) Fed 100 for 2010. The Fed 100 award recognizes those individuals from government and industry who had the greatest impact on the government information systems community. This is the second time Salona has been recognized with the award. Salona was recognized for his leadership and contributions in support of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the General Services Administration’s (GSA) transparency and open government initiatives. Specifically, Salona and his team, supported the design and development of innovative dashboards, including the IT Dashboard (it.usaspending.gov), USASpending.gov, Recovery.gov, and Data.gov – all of which provide the public with a window into data on Federal Government spending and resource allocation. “We couldn’t be more proud of Shyam and his team for their continued service to OMB and GSA.
