FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Lotus Notes / Domino mail migration to Microsoft Exchange 2007
Annandale, VA – April 13, 2007 - REI Systems announced today that it was awarded a contract by the American Institute For Foreign Study (AIFS) in Stamford, Connecticut to implement a new MS Exchange 2007 environment as their primary email system and to migrate their existing email user accounts, mailboxes, calendars, and contact lists from Lotus Notes 6.5 to the new MS Exchange Environment. Under the contract, REI will setup a Windows 2003 cluster and install and configure MS Exchange 2007 in a Continuous Cluster Replication (CCR) environment. This platform will become the primary email system for AIFS after REI completes the migration of their existing Domino/Lotus Notes data and configures Outlook 2007 email clients for all the AIFS employees. As part of this project, REI will also provide MS Exchange administration and end-user training to AIFS employees. REI will also provide a mechanism for integration of contact lists between AIFS’s London and Stamford Offices by configuring active directory synchronization between the two offices.
Founded in 1964, the American Institute For Foreign Study (AIFS) is one of the oldest, largest and most respected cultural exchange organizations in the world. The group, a privately owned U.S. company with wholly owned subsidiaries, has annual revenues in excess of $180 million. With global offices in 5 countries, the AIFS and its family of companies organizes cultural exchange programs for more than 50,000 students each year and arranges insurance coverage for their own participants as well as participants of other organizations. It promotes global understanding through these programs and teaches young people from all over the world to understand each other's qualities, their similarities and differences. The AIFS conducted programs provide the participants with the educational edge they need to succeed in a highly competitive, diverse and interdependent world.
“We welcome this opportunity to support AIFS in migrating their messaging and collaboration platform to MS Exchange 2007. REI is a diverse, multi-cultural organization and we fully support the AIFS mission and look forward to this being the start of a long and successful partnership.” says Veer Bhartiya, REI Systems President. “This contract will support expanding our lines of business and diversifying into the commercial market – two strategic goals for REI.”
